Stephanie Jaye Evans is the author of the debut novel
FAITHFUL UNTO DEATH: A Sugar Land Mystery
(Berkley Prime Crime trade paperback, June 2012), the first
in a new series featuring Walker ‘Bear’ Wells, a
Texas minister who becomes involved in a local murder when
he discovers that the chief suspect is dating Bear’s
own teenage daughter.
Evans is herself the daughter of a trail-blazing Church of
Christ minister, and the great-granddaughter of a
circuit-riding preacher. She and her husband live in Sugar
Land, Texas, and have seven grown children and two
badly-behaved pugs.
