Elaine Viets
Elaine Viets, the author of four acclaimed mysteries for
Dell and several works of nonfiction, is a board member of
Mystery Writers of America and former president of the
Florida chapter. She is also a board member of Sisters In
Crime. A St. Louis native, Viets was a popular syndicated
columnist for the St. Louis Post Dispatch and won several
Emmys for her local "Viets Beat" TV show. She now lives
with her husband of thirty-one years in Hollywood, Florida,
where she collects speeding tickets and writes full time.
She is also currently slaving away at Barnes & Noble for
$6.75 an hour as research for her next Dead-End Job Mystery.
