Roberta Isleib
Roberta Isleib is a New Jersey born clinical psychologist
who's spent half a lifetime in school (Princeton
University, University of Tennessee, University of
Florida,
Yale University.) She was on staff at Yale University
Health Services 1987-99, and in private psychotherapy
practice 1987-2002.
Roberta was introduced to the game of golf by her husband-
to-be in 1991, and hooked not long after. She took up
writing articles about golf psychology in order to justify
the time spent maintaining a whopping handicap. Next came
her series character, Cassandra Burdette, an aspiring
professional golfer with a knack for finding trouble and a
sports psychologist sidekick to help her sort it out. The
first book in the series, SIX STROKES UNDER, was nominated
for an Agatha award for best first mystery, and for an
Anthony award for best paperback original. A BURIED LIE
was
released in May, 2003, with three other books in the
series
to follow.
Writing golf mysteries allows Roberta to combine the
things
she loves the most-psychology, mysteries, and golf. Her
articles have been published in Women's World of Golf,
Golf
for Women, Tee Time Magazine, and National Golfer. Roberta
lives with her family in Madison, Connecticut.
